This beautifully written Bible study came at a perfect time. With so much going on in the world right now, I was finding it difficult to have joy. Taking the time to work through this study helped me to refocus my heart and mind on getting back to the basics of gratitude. With scripture verses, application questions and journaling space, Ashley helps lead readers back to a place of refreshment and joy. Everyone would benefit from this study!
I have always struggled with reading the Bible on its own for the fact I don’t takeaway what someone else might. I love the insightful way it relates the verse to real life, allowing you to walk away with a better understanding and connection. I recommend this for anyone who gets lost in your daily reading and wants to dig deeper.
I loved this study! It had the perfect balance of scripture, devotional, prayer, and application. The length is perfect for a morning study to allow your heart time to focus on Jesus. And listing things you’re thankful for really helps to align your heart with Jesus and change your attitude toward the day ahead. I loved all the different scriptures Ashley points you toward in the study, and I really loved the questions to reflect and apply at the end. Overall, this was a great study to remind us to be grateful for all things we face in this life. Highly recommend this product!
I think we understand that we’re called to be grateful, but we don’t get why or go much in depth about it. Ashely is so correct, “it’s more than a trendy thing.” She also addresses important topics within gratitude like “Being the source of gratitude for others” and “Giving thanks in trails.” As she mentions, the fruit of the spirit is joy. Not happiness.
Personally, I notice a big difference in my overall attitude when I practice gratitude daily. This was a reminder that I’ve been needing lately. Don’t overlook the small things He blesses us with.
I can’t give away all of the important points she makes, but her devotion definitely made me think deeper about this concept!
The Her Grateful Heart Devotional was incredibly refreshing to my heart. I learned the importance of practicing gratitude in a time when everything seemed to be going wrong in my life. I can relate to many of the principles Ashley shared in this devotional, and attest that they are true. I particularly loved the section that mentioned ultimately directing gratitude towards God and not ourselves, or the "universe" as many practice. I honestly never thought about how important that is before reading this devotional. It's true gratitude directed in the wrong place can lead us into temptation. We always have something to be thankful for, no matter how challenging our circumstances, and God is the giver of all good things. I highly recommend this devotional for anyone walking through difficult times, or struggling with chronic unhappiness. If you devote some time to walking through this devotional, I believe it will change your perspective on your present situation and help you to see the God's goodness in the middle of it.
